Thank you for the clarification...To Attorney Gray:

Thank you for the clarification. I wholeheartedly agree with you that the media honed in on the statements made with reference to the Duke Lacrosse case for the expressed purpose of the opportunity to say once more that the Duke Lacrosse players are "exonerated"... although we know better! They also used your statement for the opportunity to bring up the Duke accuser's name before the public in an unkind light... with the intent of helping bring additional negative attention to her as she fights the vendetta justice against her. It is payback, pure and simple.

Anyway, I am not critical of you for mentioning the Duke Lacrosse case if it is the best interests of your client. That's your job, and I am respectful of it. Actually, I thought it was a good strategy, especially if you wanted media attention.

From what I gather in the newspaper, the case against Mr. Oyenyein has a lot in common with the case against Gregory Taylor, recently released after spending 17 years wrongfully imprisoned.

I will definitely visit your website, and if you don't mind, when I finally get around to putting up my Link page, I would like to put a link to your site as well.

Thanks again for the information and your participation.Nifong Supporterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00893537130835998222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3773293499407151140.post-63169821229007600582010-04-23T18:03:11.796-07:002010-04-23T18:03:11.796-07:00This is Attorney Clifton Gray. We focused on the lack of evidence in the case and the fact that the state's primary witness said she overheard a private conversation the deceased allegedly had with my client. The records I saw did not show that the conversation ever took place. Unfortunately, this aspect of the trial is the only thing that'a got media attention, but the trial was about so much more.
