Media fact-checks Boebert, but ignores Mangum

  2. Anyone care to speculate as to why politicians, Justice System officials and the media, all of them whom know the truth, are not interested in seeing justice done and in correcting this miscarriage. Maybe fear, cowardice, self interest or just plain saving face, disgracefully, at the expense of Crystal

  3. Kenny,
Is there any way we can get you to stop whining? Remember, people here will forgive your racism,if only you stop whining.

  4. @ Anonymous 5:43 4-11-21 It's typical of far too many Americans who find the plight and suffering caused by unjust treatment of minorities boring. In civilized countries it would be a matter of extreme concern. But what can one expect from a country where 47 % voted for Donald Trump. In Canada he would be considered unfit to be elected President of a local Kiwanis Club in a small town Conservative district

  5. Someone who comes from a country that would elect Justin Trudeau as Mayor has no business casting aspersions on Donald Trump or the USA.

  9. Please don't criticize Kenny. It's just that, because of context, he forgets half of what he's done, and misunderstands half of what he sees. I try to cover his back, but he refuses to pay attention to what I tell him.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind all your readers that I am proud to call kenhyderal my friend.

  13. @ Abe: Mayor?? Justin Trudeau is Prime Minister of Canada. We don't elect our Prime Ministers. Only the people in his own Riding (= US District) elect him. He became Prime Minister as Leader of his Political Party (Liberal)that won the most seats in the House of Commons (US House of Representatives) He won the Leadership of his Party in a hard fought Leadership Race (somewhat like a US Presidential Candidate Race) Canada is a Democracy with no political power based on territory. 1 man 1 vote; majority rules. Americans don't like democracy There is no such thing as an undemocratic construct like the US Senate where 1/2 a million in Wyoming can tie 35 million in California. Our Senate has no legislative power Senators are appointed until age 75 by the Party in Power and their roll is to give advice to improve legislation and for sober second thought. Hopefully intelligent accomplished and independent people are who get appointed. They don't have to face elections and they don't have to raise millions. In a District the candidate can knock on every door. To be a US Senator you need to raise millions and be beholden to donors. Job number one is to raise money for your re-election. Job number two is to thwart the will of the "masses". Legislation wanted by the majority of the people will get passed. Eg. universal single payer cradle tp grave health care, sensible gun laws, sensible campaign spending laws etc.

    Hey, gui, mon ami.

Thanks for the concern. I'm doing okay, but busy. Will be filing a brief for Crystal this coming week, and have been working on a new shar-video. It's titled "Justice dies in darkness."

    Hey, A Durham Man.

Crystal Mangum's libel/defamation lawsuit against WRAL-5 News is awaiting a Response from the defendants. A motion to extend time to respond has been extended until May 17th. To date, I do not believe a Response has been filed. I do not know what defense they will use. Will have to be patient and await.

Also, I believe in transparency and will not withhold anything from you.

  19. Looks like a stay of mandate was recently filed in the Mangum v. Bond case.

I *think* this means the case can go no further until the court decides...something.

Sid, any updates? Any idea what this means for this case? Obviously, any appeal can’t go forward until this stay is lifted.

    Hey, Anony.

Thanks for the update. As you know, I have no access to PacerMonitor and by the time Crystal receives any order from the court by mail, days have passed. She may not even be aware of the Stay. She did not mention it to me yesterday.

I think that you are correct in your assessment of the ruling. On May 4th I manually filed with the Fourth Circuit in Richmond, VA, Mangum's Petition for Rehearing En Banc. The Stay on the Mandate may be routine and have no major significance... only to be lifted following a denial (which is customary). Ronnie Long is a rare exception, but thankfully it prevented him from remaining incarcerated for the rest of his life.

I believe that next in the Mangum v. Bond ordeal will be a ruling on the Rehearing En Banc. Don't have any idea as when to expect it.

Thanks for letting me know about the ruling.

    Dr. Harr,

kenhyderal has explained several times that the Durham District Attorney’s office monitors all of his posts on your blog. The DA’s office would like nothing better than for you to post kenhyderal’s secret plan for a new trial so that the government attorneys can prepare their response in advance. I hope you will not assist the DA’s office in its efforts to deny justice.

  24. The "mandate" is a piece of paper issued by an appellate court that formally sends the case back down to the trial court and instructs it what to do with the case (dismiss it, reopen it, etc.).

The mandate typically issues 15 days after the court's decision, but if a petition for rehearing gets filed during that time, the issuance of the mandate is stayed until the petition for rehearing is resolved.

So yes, this is a purely routine step and has no major significance.

This is all laid out in the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, which are available free on-line.

  27. Hey Sid -- Why'd you stop posting your (I mean Crystal's) legal filings? Once upon a time, we could see the numerous Motions (Reply Briefs, MAR) and even the defense's responsive briefs.

Now we get nothing, unless *someone* bothers to track down the status on PACER.

You don't even bother updating the Facebook page....

Where's the rest of the "committee", and why aren't they helping you?

Have you considered getting Kenhyderal involved in the blog maintenance? You know he wants to help...

    Hey, kenhyderal supporter.

There is no secret as to Mangum's plan for a new trial. Simply put, a crime was not committed. This is verified by Dr. Cyril Wecht's report of October 25, 2019.

    Hey, Anony.

Posting legal documents is too energy intensive and time-consuming. I am currently busy working to free Crystal Mangum... mainly sending letters and working on shar-videos... which is what I have been doing recently.

As for Facebook, I find its interface too confusing, so I don't use it much.

Committee members are supportive but do not usually get personally engaged in specific efforts like I do.

    Hey, Anony.

Ms. Peterson stepped down from presidency many years ago and the position has remained unfilled. I plan to appoint a president within a year.

Mr. Matherly still retains his position.
