First, A Lawyer, I believe in justice for all individuals regardless of skin pigmentation. I was an avid advocate for Greg Taylor and Alan Gell... not to mention Mike Nifong. It just so happens that many more people of color are abused and mistreated by the legal system.

You are not quoting me, you are quoting an Anonymous poster who first quoted me and then added his or her own comments.

I have never accused you of racism. What I accuse you of is harming people you purport to help by your legally-ignorant "lay advocacy."

You are an M.D. How would you feel about a blog where a "lay healer" advocated treating head wounds by tying a tourniquet around the patient's neck? What you do is the legal equivalent.

Hey, A Lawyer.

Thanks for the clarification. I was responding to the comment, and assumed it came from you because there was no explanation provided about its source.

As far as analogies go, I think this is a case of apples and avocados. First, I really don't give legal advice... merely state what assistance I have provided for Crystal. So I am neither suggesting nor advocating how others should approach their legal situations.

As for Mangum, I am the only person who has done anything on her behalf. Her appellate attorney Petersen sabotaged Mangum's appeals process with her restrictive and weak single issue on Direct Appeal. Petersen never took the initiative to file an MAR or other motion to assist Crystal. Petersen never tried to obtain a copy of the 18-page document from Dr. Nichols' personnel file. She didn't do anything. Likewise with the NC Prisoner Legal Services... it did absolutely nothing to help Crystal.

As far as damages, Crystal has not been damaged by anything that I've done... although she has yet to be released and exonerated. In her situation, I believe that it is better to do something than to sit and do nothing, which her legal representatives have done heretofore.

If a lay healer would recommend a neck tourniquet for a head wound, such advice could have serious or fatal consequences if followed. That could be life-threatening. Such is not the case with my situation. Crystal's life is not threatened by my advocacy.

With respect to my work's efficacy, remain patient. Justice may prevail much sooner than later... but it will prevail.

Sidney Harr, responding to a Lawyer:

"First, A Lawyer, I believe in justice for all individuals regardless of skin pigmentation. I was an avid advocate for Greg Taylor and Alan Gell... not to mention Mike Nifong. It just so happens that many more people of color are abused and mistreated by the legal system."

If Sidney Harr believed in justice, he would not be indulging in such things as proclaiming guilty innocent men who were falsely accused of a crime which never happened, would not be extolling the corrupt prosecutor who wrongfully prosecuted them as the best DA Durham ever had, would not be proclaiming the innocence of a drug dealer who chased down and shot another drug dealer, from whom he had previously stoen money, in the process of chasing down the fellow drug dealer shooting and killing an innocent 8 year old boy.

Crystal Mangum is innocent of committing a crime related to the 2011 incident involving Reginald Daye."

Crystal Mangum is guilty of murdering Reginald Daye. It takes more than the proclamation of a legal incompetent to establish that she was innocent.

"To begin with, she was not responsible for his death... Duke University was."

It takes more than the opinion of a minimally trained, minimally experienced medical school graduate who was never accepted into residency training, whonever achieved medical board specialty certification and who spent his post medica school career filing and losing frivolous lawsuits to establish a cause of death.

"Crimes were committed, however by the medical examiner, Durham police officer, and other prosecution witnesses in an attempt to wrongly convict Ms. Mangum as payback for her role as accuser in the Duke Lacrosse case."

Again, Sidney is a totally incompetent as a legal advocate.

"At its core, I believe that the Duke Lacrosse case had racial components... that had the victim/accuser been a white female stripper, I do not believe the State or the media would have treated her with the venom and hostility with which they treated Crystal Mangum."

Yes the case had racist components, the meta narrative that people characterized as scions of privilege by your wacko-lyte Kenhyderal, lust after black women and believe they can ravage them with impunity. The racist element was, the defendants should have been prosumed guilty simply because they were Caucasian men accused by a black woman.

Had it been a white woman alleging rape, the case would never have gotten any notoriety. Nifong would not have been able to stir up black on white racism in the Durham electorate by making an issue out of the case.

Bullshit!!! You are trying to give legal advice, vioating the injunction handed down to you.

"As for Mangum, I am the only person who has done anything on her behalf. Her appellate attorney Petersen sabotaged Mangum's appeals process with her restrictive and weak single issue on Direct Appeal. You have done less than nothing to help Crystal. Ir is like getting a negative dtade on an exam-you get wrong questions not even on the test.

"As far as damages, Crystal has not been damaged by anything that I've done... although she has yet to be released and exonerated. In her situation, I believe that it is better to do something than to sit and do nothing, which her legal representatives have done heretofore."

But you are doing nothing tohrlp her.

"With respect to my work's efficacy, remain patient. Justice may prevail much sooner than later... but it will prevail."

Justice prevailedwhen Crystal was convicted for murdering Reginald Daye. Justice prevailed when Crystal was outed as a false rape accuser.

Sidney whether or not you like it, people will see the links and follow them and realize that Crystal LIED about being raped and continues to concoct lies about the alleged rape. People will realize your ranting about the alleged vendetta prosecution of Crystal is but another manifestation of your delusional megalomania.

Dear Dr. Harr thank you for exercising you prerogative, as blog host, to remove nuisance and offensive posts. Just a reminder though you do have the power to ban posters who wont cease and desist unwanted behaviour.. I've often made the suggestion that all posters post under a registered user name so those who respond or engage with them know who they are talking to. That would eliminate confusion such as you experienced with "A Lawyer" and the person who had quoted him.

Your proposal to eliminate truth from this blog, nothing more. People who hide the truth fear the truth. People who fear the truth do so because they do not tell the truth, like Crystal never told the truth when she alleged she had been raped and did not tell the truth when 8 years after her police statement she claimed she had been sodomized with a broomstick.

Hey, kenhyderal.

Thank you for the suggestion that I am now finally going to address. I am looking into setting up my blog site so that all comments can be viewed prior to posting. That will prevent nuisance postings such as the ones just posted.

I prefer registered user names rather than anonymous, so far, but am likely willing to post anything that is not offensive or profane.

Today it is my plan, as strictly a courier, to file a document with the court on behalf of Crystal.

By the time of my next post, I hope to have some sort of triage system running with relationship to comments.

As before, I wish I would have taken up your suggestions earlier. Thanks.

The rape case is over and has been over for more than a decade. It was established beyond any shadow of a doubt that Mangum wasn't raped. All charges were dropped, the defendants were publicly exonerated, they received a huge settlement, Nifong was removed from office, disbarred and convicted for his role in the case. Mangum will forever be known as the woman who lied about being raped.

Everyone knows these things, or can look them up. It doesn't matter that Sid and kenny don't like it. Why do you still want to argue about it? What is left to argue about? What more do you want?

Whatever troll posted that comment wasn't me. I always refer to the owner of this blog as "Dr. Harr," not "Sid." I disagree (often quite strongly) with Dr. Harr, but this is his house, and I feel he deserves that respect.

Censorship no, respectful discourse yes. That includes no prurient, obscenities, no mockery, no Nazi or racist epithets. It would be informative to learn why posters such as A Lawyer, Walt in Durham, Abe, (JSwift) who like me are considering to no longer participate here. For me, it's not that I have been unable to convince them the conventional wisdom may not be true. They do, however, seem to have tolerance for those who engage in the above abuses. Hopefully they do not give them a pass because they agree with their conclusions.

Actually, Kenny, you aren't capable of convincing anyone of anything.

So Kenny, did William Cohan get it right we he quoted Crystal about the broomstick?

Ken has indicated many times that Crystal is truthful and he believes all of her statements. I think he believes that the wood chips are being stored in a vault at Duke Hospital.

Kenny,

If Sid starts screening posts as you suggest, your days here may be numbered.
