Again, asking questions isn't trolling, pointing out where you are wrong, isn't trolling.

It's really sad that you just say anyone who disagrees with you is trolling, rather than try and engage in a rational discussion.

Judging by the fact that Duke sits atop a well known seismic fault line that runs through most of Durham and down to Lee County where fracking up the seismic fault line down there is in the works - what betcha that Duke owns a lot of earthquake damage insurance - funny how they spend so much money on new buildings before allowing fracking within the major seismic fault line they built all their newer buildings on.

The fact that durham/duke is a majority democratic population and so much harm and death, corruption, illness, violence, outrage to the point where when people say durham or duke in NC they just cringe and shake their heads ... could be a major reason, (other than the failed, corrupt, and broken government that seems intent on destroying NC), that so many vote republican these days.

So I guess the question remains about what the heck Duke is up to:

1. Did the democrats take such as agressive stand in pushing the nation over to vote for a democratic black president that the republican dukies rebelled and decided to make durham look so bad that the democratic party in NC would give way to those more willing to vote for the unknown republican (duke conflicted) party as the 'lesser evil'?

2. Did the republicans gain control of the democratic party through powers such as duke and major corruption, and then decided what a mistake that was (or was it their plan all along since they knew it would be difficult to win after Bush), and then proceeded to strategy 1, or was it the other way around?

3. ???

Across the country, fracking is contaminating drinking water, making nearby families sick with air pollution, and turning forest acres into industrial zones. Yet the oil and gas industry is pushing to expand this dirty drilling—to new states and even near critical drinking water supplies for millions of Americans. We need to show massive public support to stop the oil and gas industry from fracking our future.

Anonymous said...

America needs to start fracking! Too many jobs were lost due to Anti-Fracking Protesting! Foreign nations are becoming rich due to other nations needing what "they" can supply! Russia just struck oil and natural gas in the Artic Ocean! We American's need to start fracking now! Before other nations come over here and take it from us! Build the pipeline! Frack! America needs to stop dependency on all foreign oil! Gas and oil prices would be a lot cheaper and more used in this nation if we all work together!

Sidney said,
"Not really. What I have to say will merely prove that Mangum's appellant attorney is a turncoat, as well."

So what you're saying is, she's a turncoat, but not really part of the conspiracy?

Amazing how Sid cannot be wrong. Anyone who disagrees with him is a traitor and a turncoat, and may, or may not, be part of a conspiracy against him. 40+ lawsuits spread over a lot of states, not a single victory among them ... that's a lot of traitors and turncoats and a huge anti-Sid conspiracy.

My next sharlog will definitely show that Mangum's Appeals attorney is selling her out in order to protect Duke University Hospital and M.E. Nichols. It will be very obvious. The sharlog should be posted in a couple of days.

Nifong Supporter said...

HEY, EVERYBODY... LISTEN UP!!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

I know that I had said that my next sharlog would be posted by yesterday... Saturday. However, as happens many times, as I am working on a project I find ways in which to improve on it. That's what happened here. I was just about complete, when I decided I could make it more effective by adding additional documentation... so that's what I've been doing. I should have it posted no later than this coming Tuesday. I guarantee the wait will be worth it.

As you were.

Anonymous said...

Dr. Harr,

How long does Ms. Mangum have to file an admendment to the appeal brief if needed and allowed?

Anonymous said...

No, what she is doing is trying to help Crystal, not settle Sid's vendetta.

And, before people get so excited, or ask about amending it, or whatever - let's remember - the attorney is in contact with Crystal, and there is no reason to think Crystal isn't fully informed of, and supportive of, what the attorney is doing. By his own admission, Sid has not, and will not, talk to Crystal about all of his latest antics. He is not acting on her behalf or with her consent, he is on his own goal, with his own agenda, because he assumes she is not acting in her own best interests.

Sid is an unethical idiot bound and determined to hurt Crystal for his own agenda. He admits that himself. If he wasn't, he would be talking with her and getting her consent to his actions.

Anonymous said...

Knowing how long and IF she can file an amendment to a brief or whatever else is filed in the appeals process and all the rules and procedures of the entire appeals process in order to assist her with an appeals trial would be acting in her best interest at this stage of her case. Dr. Harr should be able to answer it, and from there, perhaps others will become more enlightened and informed as well.

Anonymous said...

If Ms. Mangum is relying on Dr. Harr to assist her with this trial, then she has a right to know what he is doing on her behalf and what she needs to do on her own behalf instead of holding a false notion that Dr. Harr can and will somehow achieve for her what she needs to achieve for herself in order to secure her freedom from imprisonment. If she has no false notions and no knowledge of what he is doing, then if he assists her in her defense then he assists, if he harms he harms, if he does both but she remains imprisoned falsly then he has done both. Simple as that really. The same holds true for any and all attorneys she had/has in this case. The difference is that Dr. Harr has a blog focused on the issues and is not a lawyer.

Anonymous said...

Your comments again show you refuse to read. First - for Dr. Harr to answer those questions assumes he'd actually do research and/or look for the proper procedure to do anything. He hasn't done that yet, why should he start now?

Second - Crystal is relying on her appellate attorney to help her with her case, not Dr. Harr. Dr. Harr has zero evidence from Crystal that she is unhappy with the brief, or unhappy wth the attorney, or that she even wants his help. He has specifically stated that he is not discussing this with her, nor does he know she is unhappy.

He has said that if she doesn't want his help, it's because she is confused and not capable of knowing what's best for her.

I personally think it is horribly unethial and patronizing for Dr. Harr to not have Crystal's consent for the actions he is purporting to take on his behalf, and it's just further proof that this isn't about her, but about him.

Unless Crystal says she wants his help, she isn't relying on him for anything, and Dr. Harr still has no rel information on anything the lawyers are doing on her behalf because they won't talk to him, and Crystal hasn't either related to those acts.

Anonymous said...

My reading comprehension is well enough to recall that you earlier stated you hope she rots in jail, so your over concern for her happiness in any matter is questionable in its motivation.

Nifong Supporter said...

Much will be clarified once my latest sharlog is posted. Crystal is dissatisfied with her appellate representation... and she has plenty of reason to be upset with it.

Claims that I have an agenda to do damage to Crystal are totally unfounded... not only that it makes absolutely no sense.

Idleness is Mangum's biggest enemy. As the commenter suggested to an extent, Mangum would have done well to study her case and fought it out in court... instead of relying on attorneys and keeping a low profile as they recommended.

Regardless of what I do, I do not see how it is possible for me to harm her case.

Anne Petersen is the attorney handling Mangum's appeal... and Ms. Petersen has not accepted my offers to help her.

Much will be revealed in the sharlog to be posted hopefully tomorrow.

Communicating with someone in prison, especially if you have no visitation, is extremely difficult. All phone calls are monitored and recorded and last but a few minutes. Letters are also subject to being opened and read prior to delivery to the inmate or mailing from the inmate.

I help Crystal any way that I can, and can only give non-lawyerly advice to her. But, if I am to be effective, I need to move forward and act on my own without running by my every move for her authorization.

Let me know if further elucidation on this matter is required.

Much will become more evident after tomorrow's posting. Will head home now to continue work on it. Ciao.

Dr. Harr,

Does Ms. Mangum have access to a law library?

Does the law library have clear and updated information suited for prisoners to understand fully and completely what each process of their trials, appeals, and incarceration require of them to protect their rights and reasonably assist in their own defense?

If not, how is Ms. Mangum able to understand and act on what is needed of her to assist in her own defense at any given point in her case?

WHERE is the answer to the question of how long does a person have to file an admendment to an Appeal Brief found? If this source also answers who can file the appeal and admendments it would be helpful.

Thank you.

Anonymous said...

Sid ... you have zero evidence that she is doing anything to protect Duke or the ME - just because that is not what she bases her appeal on. Remember, she would actually have access to the investigation and reports (that were very likely done), and would have talked to the doctors, and others (unlike you).

Just because she disagrees with you doesn't make her wrong, it just makes you pathetic and sad that you can't see the truth to anything.

Anonymous said...

Mangum has a lawyer, who would answer her questions on filing an Amended brief - again, remember, Sid himself admits that he has no evidence that Crystal is at all unhappy or disappointed in her appellate attorney.

Sid is unhappy with the appellate attorney, but it's not his case, and never has been.

Details on the NC criminal appeals process can be found here .

Looks like even if no one files for any extensions, it can take up to 8 months before it gets to the Court of Appeals. The average time for the court to issue a decision is 6 months....

I think the main point is that she asked the cop for help, the cop told her to take care of the situation herself, and if the cop had been the one Mr. Daye busted down a bathroom door and pulled out by the hair and whatever else, he would have been shot dead - deader - and deader still ... so truly ...

since Mr. Daye was runnin' around and fixin' up things before he called the police to assist him in his victimhood, (since the cop hadn't already shot him dead instead of Ms. Mangum having to defend herself with one nonlethal stab wound) ... or whatever he did ... and THEN Duke decided to intubate him to death just for the heck of it supposedly ... it is VERY difficult to see how any of all this is Ms. Mangum's fault of murder when it's not.

Anonymous said...

1. If the cop had assisted Ms. Mangum to safety away from the obviously very drunk and irate Mr. Daye as she requested or as was obvious that the need was there for that type assistance from the cop, Ms. Mangum would not have been attacked by Mr. Daye in his drunken rage as happened.

2. If Mr. Daye had attacked the cop like he did Ms. Mangum, he would have been shot dead instead of receiving one NONlethal self-defensive stab wound from Ms. Mangum.

3. Mr. Daye was deemed stable and recovering well by the Duke surgeon, so the stab wound was proven to be nonlethal.

4. Mr. Daye was intubated to death by Duke medical persons for some as yet determined reason.

5. The medical examiner's reports indicate that what Duke claims they did and what he observed of Mr. Daye's deceased remains were not the same, leaning his observation to claim death by the stab wound, when the stab wound was NONlethal but the LETHAL intubation to death proved deadly as proven by the Duke medical reports.

6. This was later confirmed by another autopsy report which was conveniently held from the defense until the defense had absolutely no time to prepare a reasonable defense based on the written autopsy report confirming the errors in the first autopsy report that was used to falsely and fraudulently charge and convict Ms. Mangum for the death of Mr. Daye, for which the Duke medical records confirm in legally recognized detail she was not responsible for.

6. For some as yet unsolved reason, the Duke / Durham / Duke conflicted NC judicial and health systems, as well as Duke who is bound by law to take responsibility when their professional malpractice is at fault or in question, cannot seem to ackowledge the existance of the above facts, supposedly for obvious political reasons, but open to complete interpretation of motivation that would require teams of professionally non-conflicted persons of knowledge to figure out, or one could just chalk it all up to the evils of money, power, and corruption to save time and more expense.

Updated and numbering corrected, v.2:

1. If the cop had assisted Ms. Mangum to safety away from the obviously very drunk and irate Mr. Daye as she requested or as was obvious that the need was there for that type assistance from the cop, Ms. Mangum would not have been attacked by Mr. Daye in his drunken rage as happened.

3. Mr. Daye was deemed stable and recovering well by the Duke surgeon, so the stab wound was proven to be nonlethal.

4. Mr. Daye was intubated to death by Duke medical persons for some as yet determined reason.

8. While the state figures out how to resolve their issues readily apparent to all for years as noted in 7. above, they wrongly imprison and harm Ms. Mangum for their own errors of justice and deadly professional practice which they insist on continuing to ignore.

Dr. Harr,

Has Duke acknowledged at ANY time their intubation malpractice, the discrepancies between their records and the first autopsy report used to falsely charge and convict Ms. Mangum, and the fact that their intubation malpractice resulted in brain death and ultimate death other than to document those facts in the medical records?

Hey, Lance.

If Petersen represented Nifong then that goes a long way towards explaining why he was disbarred... (of course the political cards were stacked against him) but I wouldn't be surprised if she did sell him out too... just like she's doing with Mangum.
