Thanks to him, we all know the incontestable truth; especially those with complete power to correct this miscarriage of justice. They are the ones we need to ask, " what kind of people are they". We also know for certain Dr. Harr, who told us long ago there was no murder, was right all along. Any who recognize Dr. Wecht's expertise need to also acknowledge Dr. Harr's foresight and acuity. I don't know to which comment of mine you are referring, but Dr. Wecht cannot be an advocate for Crystal Mangum or any defendant. That doesn't mean he cannot be a witness. In fact, being an expert forensic pathologist on legal cases in the courtroom is what he does professionally. To heighten his reputation as an objective and unbiased witness, he does not advocate. If Mangum's case were to be re-scheduled for trial, Dr. Wecht would make the best possible expert witness.; July 10, 2021 at 11:57 AM

Abe could start another countdown. I plan to implement my surreptitious strategy within the next week... two at the most. I would hope to reap the benefits a couple of weeks thereafter. More than likely, though, after her exoneration they will not chose that route but instead agree to a compensation award for her wrongful conviction.

Hah. You couldn't be more wrong. What I believed, and got wrong, was that the introduction of Dr. Wecht's REPORT would get Crystal out... not Dr. Wecht as an advocate. The problem with Dr. Wecht's report is that the media, in a grand conspiracy, withheld his report from the general public. Other than the Women & Crime podcast of November 3, 2020, there's been no mention about Dr. Wecht's report and its implications of Mangum's innocence.

Dr. Wecht has no problems with discussing Mangum's case, but the media doesn't want to get his analysis on the topic. CBS-17 News' Skype interview of November 25, 2019 with Dr. Wecht did not turn out as the media honchos had wished, so they did not air it or provide access to it on their website.

I have the utmost respect for Dr. Wecht; his integrity is beyond reproach. What I would recommend is that you view the movie "Concussion" starring Will Smith with Albert Brooks portraying Dr. Wecht in the true-life story of the African forensic pathologist who discovered what he called "Chronic traumatic encephalopathy" in professional football players. In an attempt to muzzle Dr. Wecht, the NFL worked with the IRS to trump up spurious tax charges against Dr. Wecht... which were later rescinded.

Dr. Wecht's eight-page report is the most powerful weapon in Mangum's arsenal supporting her innocence in a crime that was not committed. I couldn't have asked for a more reputable and respected forensic pathologist to review Mangum's murder case and the medical examiner's autopsy report than Dr. Cyril Wecht.; July 21, 2021 at 6:24 PM

Never have given much thought to contacting Fox News Channel about evidence of Crystal Mangum's innocence, but with all other news outlets ignoring me, to paraphrase a former president trying to solicit the black vote... What have I got to lose.

Looked up Candace Owens, but she's not with Fox News. Mr. Hannity seems more closely connected to reality than Mr. Carlson, so I will send him a packet. Think I'll even include our comment exchange.

For starters, I have been trying to force NC DHHS Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen to order a review of the Dr. Nichols autopsy report... something which she has already refused to do. Keep in mind also that Crystal Mangum has a pro se libel and defamation lawsuit against WRAL-5 News. Sid, no court ever rules anyone "innocent." When you go to trial, the Jury decides if you are Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt or Not Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Not Guilty and Innocent are two completely different things - lots of people who did the acts they are accused of are Not Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The FBI raided Wecht’s office MONTHS before Dr. Omalu published ANY of his research on brain injuries in football. There is no way that the NFL and FBI worked together “to trump up spurious charges against Dr. Wecht”.

The movie version of Dr. Omalu swears he’ll never testify against his mentor , Dr. Wecht. The real-life Dr. Omalu showed up in court as a witness for the prosecution and even made a bid for Wecht’s job.

Those are facts that can be proven by simply reviewing publication dates and court records.

For the life of me, I can't understand why you would refer to Dr Wecht as cowardly. Coward would be descriptive of Governor Cooper, A.G. Josh Stein, Durham D.A. Satana Deberry, and others who ignore me out of fear of being confronted with truths of Crystal's innocence. On July 19, 2019, I had the honor of meeting and spending about a half an hour talking to Dr. Wecht in his Pittsburgh office. I can assure you that he is anything but senile. I don't know upon what you base that conclusion.

At the meeting with him, he asked some questions and received the two manuals I prepared for him... one that included a narrative of the case and one that held exhibits of evidence. I never communicated with him until early in October 2019 when he sent me a draft of the report. I recommended an aspect of the case that I felt should receive more attention. Without any further communication, Dr. Wecht produced his report of October 25, 2019 and he sent it to me. So, as you can see, I did not "pester" him.

The article brought to light several FACTS :

The FBI raided Wecht’s office MONTHS before Dr. Omalu published ANY of his research on brain injuries in football. There is no way that the NFL and FBI worked together “to trump up spurious charges against Dr. Wecht”.

The movie version of Dr. Omalu swears he’ll never testify against his mentor , Dr. Wecht. The real-life Dr. Omalu showed up in court as a witness for the prosecution and even made a bid for Wecht’s job.

Those are facts that can be proven by simply reviewing publication dates and court records.

Because the article doesn’t meet your narrative doesn’t mean it’s not objective.

I would say Dr. Baden is in the same category as Dr. Wecht, but I would still prefer to have Dr. Wecht review Dr. Nichols' autopsy report over Dr. Baden. I haven't seen Dr. Baden's curriculum vitae, but Dr. Wecht's was over 34-single-spaced typed pages when I checked it out in 2019. II don't know how many books Dr. Baden has written, but Dr. Wecht has written numerous books on many famous cases. Also, I've seen Dr. Wecht appear numerous times recently as a legal analyst on cases whereas I haven't seen Dr. Baden called upon as a legal analyst in any case in years. Getting the State and Media to admit that Crystal Mangum was wrongly convicted for a crime that never happened, is a tall order. Governor Cooper and others are counting on support from all news media to keep the truths of Mangum's innocence (e.g., Dr. Wecht's report) hidden from the general public. NAACP, ALCU, and other civil rights/social justice organizations, and innocence commissions have refused to get involved.

I am thoroughly pleased with Dr. Wecht's contributions. Keep in mind that he gave CBS-17 News a twenty-minute Skype interview on November 25, 2019. It is CBS-17 News that failed Lady Justice by burying the interview.

A review by Dr. Baden might be ignored just as was Dr. Wecht's. However, if the NC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner does a legitimate review of Dr. Nichols' autopsy... which should exonerate Mangum, then that would be an irrefutable outcome that would demand Mangum's release. That is why I'm pushing for a Dr. Mandy Cohen to order a review by the NC OCME, and that is why Dr. Cohen is fighting hard to keep from having a review of the flawed autopsy conducted.

As a forensic pathology consultant, his opinion has weight. Unfortunately for Sid and Crystal, this weight only comes to bear if it is presented during trial.

His opinion alone cannot force a new trial.

There are only 3 things I am aware of that can overturn Crystal’s conviction:

1) Motion For a New Trial:
In a motion for a new trial, her lawyer alleges that some specific type of error or misconduct occurred that is serious enough that the verdict should be thrown out and a new trial granted. The grounds for which a motion for a new trial can be granted are limited. They include things such as a juror being bribed, a juror viewing evidence that wasn’t admitted at trial, the judge giving incorrect jury instructions, and the prosecution withholding evidence of innocence from the defense.

2) Direct Appeal:
Her lawyer would argue to an appellate court that there was a violation of the law or constitution that should cause the conviction to be thrown out. It’s possible for a panel of appellate judges to personally believe the jury made the wrong decision but still affirm the conviction because there was no error at your trial.

Writ of Habeas Corpus
Her lawyer would argue that she was convicted in violation of certain constitutional rights.

Because I did not meet my projected deadline does not reflect on the strength of my plan... The plan is still in play. The problem being that I have no control over the timeline of events. The State and the media have imposed an obstruct and delay policy against Crystal which has, unfortunately, put off the day at which she receives justice.; August 15, 2021 at 3:54 AM

It was my hope to have Crystal released by August 13, 2021... two days ago. Sadly, it was not to be. I am working on strategies of which few are aware to significantly help her receive justice. Part one of the strategy is planned to be implemented this week... to be followed shortly thereafter by part two. I will probably upload notice of Part One.; August 15, 2021 at 3:59 AM

What you fail to understand is that Crystal Mangum is doing time for a crime that was not committed. That is what I have been saying from the start, and that is what has been confirmed by famed forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril H. Wecht.

I don't know from where your hostility towards Dr. Wecht is coming. All I can say is that he would make a better expert witness that Dr. Clay Nichols.

As an expert pathologist and medical-legal scholar he testifies whenever he is subpoenaed, be it by a Prosecutor or by a Defence Lawyer. That's what he does. What he does not do is become an advocate. That's why his testimony carries so much weight and why his opinion is so definitive. I'm sorry, you can't seem to get that through your head. There does, however, have to be a trial in order for the expert witness to be called.

Sid must be mentally ill, because as many lawsuits as he's filed, and as many times he's been told what he's doing wrong, he repeats the same basic mistakes over and over again - the true definition of insanity.

And, even Kenny has to admit it's not a "corrupt" system that says a Court can't order random people to do something when they aren't parties to the lawsuit - that's actually a sign of due process.
